The President of the
GBA is the primary student representative for all RCB graduate students
during interaction with the deans, members of the administration, faculty,
outside organizations and businesses, as well as other business schools.
Together with his executive management team, he is responsible for establishing
the vision, mission and goals for the organization aimed at benefiting the
entire student body.
Gerard was born in Manhattan and grew up in Florida before attending Emory
University and moving to Atlanta, where he has lived ever since. Before
deciding to complete his program as a full-time student, he was the first
Director of Training & Development for Strategic Outsourcing where he
was responsible for the implementation of the training program used to educate
the sales and service force for his company. Gerard is still active with
the Emory Young Alumni and enjoys fly-fishing, Latin dancing, and playing
a variety of sports.

As Executive VP of the GBA, Chris works with the GBA board to execute and promote the GBA's mission to increase the visibility of GSU's Robinson College of Business within the business community at large by cultivating networking ties with metro-area professional organizations, business associations, GBA's counterpart organizations from the other area MBA schools, and the GSU Alumni Association. GBA seeks to sponsor and expand the awareness of networking activities among the student body at GSU's Robinson College of Business.
Chris coordinates professional networking events with the above groups through the school, including guest speakers, and negotiates group rate packages for students to attend events sponsored by area business associations and professional organizations.
These important programs and events mold and enhance the MBA experience, requiring heavy student involvement. Chris seeks dedicated participation from fellow students to expand the networking opportunities available to our MBA students.
Originally from Rhode Island, Chris graduated from Georgia Tech in 1992 with a degree in mechanical engineering, and has worked in the imaging, and IT/telecom industries in Atlanta for the last 10 years. Chris is pursuing his MBA in E-Commerce and expects to graduate in May 2005. Chris enjoys writing, wakeboarding, rafting, and tennis.

Working
in close coordination with the VP of Professional Development and the
Student Affairs Directors, Ken is focused on building relationships between
the GBA and the GSU and Metro Atlanta communities. One of the main responsibilities
will be to organize a philanthropic event that will support an area not-for-profit
organization and serve as a clear demonstration of GBA’s commitment
to fostering the values of corporate citizenship within its membership.
A graduate of Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute, Ken is a Registered Architect and is currently
the Director of Marketing / Business Development for the Atlanta Office
of a regional architectural and engineering firm. He is also a member
of the Advisory Council for GSU’s School of Accountancy. In addition
to architecture, Ken’s professional experience includes not-for-profit
management and fund raising, advertising/graphic design, and strategic
marketing for service firms and not-for-profit organizations. He expects
to graduate in December 2004.

As the Vice President
of Finance for the GBA, Betsy is primarily responsible for preparing a financial
budget for the upcoming year. She is also responsible for auditing the financial
books from the previous year, managing and tracking outgoing funds, and
informing the executive committee of the financial status of the organization.
Betsy is originally from Florida, having
graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Finance. Currently,
she is interning at IBM, working in finance. Betsy is pursuing a MBA in
Finance and Risk Management and anticipates graduating in December of
2004.

The Vice President of Marketing and Communications coordinates
all efforts to promote the GBA's mission, vision and goals, as well as
publicize all events and activities sponsored by the organization. Gergana
conducts all communications with entities outside Robinson College of
Business and serves as a spokesperson to various media outlets.

As the VP of Professional Development and Alumni Relations,
Trupti works to strengthen the relationships between all GSU MBA/MS (current,
EMBAs, and MBA/MS Alumni) and the Atlanta business community. She is responsible
for assisting the Career Services in promoting career-related workshops
and events and establishing relationships with area businesses and industry-specific
associations in an attempt to co-host or have access to career-related
functions/workshops.
Trupti graduated with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering.
After receiving her Bachelors Degree, she worked for Lucent Technologies
in Atlanta as a Technical Consultant & later as an Account Manager.
While working in the sales team at Lucent, she supported Bellsouth &
Cingular Wireless LLC. Trupti enjoys traveling and learning about different
cultures. She also enjoy cooking and learning about different wine.

As Vice President of Special Events, Carla Jann works
to provide informal environments where students, alumni, and corporate
recruiters can get to know each other. Carla works with other officers
to coordinate unifying and cohesive events that promote school spirit
among the Robinson College of Business community. In addition, Carla works
to organize other activities for students based on interest and demand.
Carla grew up in Atlanta, Ga., where she graduated from
Georgia State University with a B.S. degree in Psychology. She is currently
working in sales for United Distributors Inc., a local beer, liquor, and
wine distributor. Carla is pursuing her MBA with a major in Marketing
and expects to graduate in December 2004.

The Vice President of Technology is responsible
to develop web site deployment and development strategy that is consistent with supporting the needs of activities
consistent with GBA missions and goals. He also serve as an intermediary between student body and the information services group,
facilitating the convergence of student needs with available solutions. Other responsibility include working with other
clubs within Robinson to review their technology and internet needs and concerns.
Jerry grew up in Malaysia before completing his bachelor degree in the University
of Oklahoma. After graduation Jerry has joined Delta Technology and lead IT projects ranging from
human factors/usability engineering to the e-commerce website of Delta Airlines. Jerry is looking forward
to completing his finance MBA degree to further complement his skill set.

Sanjay has been designing software systems for
over a decade. He has worked in a diverse set of environments ranging
from small projects for non-profits to one of the most sophisticated pieces
of software ever conceived. Before founding Izenda, Sanjay worked at Radiant
Systems, Microsoft and Trilogy. He graduated from Georgia Tech with High
Honors with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and is currently completing
his MBA.

The Student Affairs Director serves as the primary liaison
and advocate for the students at the specified campus. Eric works with
the Board of Directors to identify areas for development and helps promote
opportunities as well as potential student leaders. He also works with
the Executive Vice President with student life issues and performs other
duties at the request of the President and other officers.
Eric was born, raised, and attended college in the San
Francisco Bay Area. He has worked in several different fields ranging
from Broderbund, a major home software company, to church based non-profit
organizations. He lived in the Democratic Republic of Congo administrating
and teaching in a Bible Institute located in Kinshasa, the nation's capital.
He graduated from Christian Life International with High Honors with a
Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies and is currently pursuing his MBA.
Eric also works in the University Career Services Department as a Graduate
Research Assistant.

Jennifer is an Atlanta native and returned home in 1998
after obtaining her English degree from the University of Kentucky. She is
currently working as a multimedia developer for Accenture and she is looking forward to completing her e-commerce
degree in 2004. Jennifer volunteers for the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation through her alumnae philanthropy group.
