Last
month, the Marketing department of the Graduate Business Association conducted
a survey of its membership, giving the GBA an extremely insightful glimpse
of how our organization can better benefit RCB students and working professionals.
Over 31% of the GBA membership at the time responded to the call for input.
Many students
expressed a need to offer more events that focused on a career/professional
development theme. While the GBA promoted several of these type of events
last semester, it was critical to also uncover what kind of events were
popular, when they should be held and in what part of town was most convenient
so that the greatest number of students could benefit. The GBA is shifting
its efforts to address these needs in the upcoming semester.
The results have
been studied, scrubbed of identifying data and formatted in a way that
makes it easy to read and understand. The survey is available for viewing

In addition,
our VP of Marketing has summarized many of our findings into a marketing
report for the GBA. Please feel free to take a look by clicking on the

Lastly, a special
congratulations goes out to TinaRenee McCall. Her entry
after completing the GBA survey last month was selected as the $100 prize
raffle winner.
The GBA would
like to thank all those who participated in the survey and ask that students
help us to spread the word about the organization to others who may not
have offered their comments or have yet to become active. The GBA is your
student organization and it is only as good as the effort put into it.
Students interested in contributing should take a look at the leadership
page and read more about the different functional departments. Those who
find an area where they can add value should send the GBA an email at
gba@gsu.edu expressing their interest.
These efforts are greatly rewarded.
