GSU GBA, GSU Graduate Business Association, is committed to protecting end-user privacy online. Except as provided in this policy, we will not disclose personally identifiable information about an end-user to any third party without the end-user’s consent or unless required by law. By agreeing to this policy, you confirm that you are 13 years of age or over.

I. Information We Collect

1. Cookies
GSU GBA uses a feature of your browser called a cookie to store your session information. GSU GBA does not store any of your personal information in cookies. A cookie is simply a small data file that the web site writes to your hard drive. A cookie cannot read any other data off your hard drive, pass on a virus, or read cookie files created by other sites. You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. The GSU GBA website will not operate properly without cookies enabled.

2. Registration
A significant amount of the site is available without registration, but in order to take advantage of some features of the site, you must register and create a member account. GSU GBA online registration requires you to provide your full name, e-mail address, password, in addition to work and home zip codes.

3. Use of registration information
GSU GBA will use the registration information to notify you through your email address about events of your interests near your work or home zip codes. Should your email address produce errors, GSU GBA may use other registration information to contact you of the error.

4. Links
This website contains links to other websites. Please be aware that GSU GBA is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites. We encourage our end-users to read the privacy statements of such other websites. This privacy statement applies solely to the information collected by this website.

5. Products
GSU GBA uses third-party vendors to supply the products it sells to end-users. Information collected while purchasing products from GSU GBA will be used for that purpose only. By purchasing a product through the GSU GBA web site, you consent to the disclosure of personal information to third-party vendors in order to complete your order. Accuracy of the information provided is the sole responsibility of the end-user.

II. Our Use of Your Information

We analyze the majority of collected information to improve your GSU GBA experience. This information is held in the strictest confidence and is not shared outside of GSU GBA except as specifically described in this statement. If necessary, we will use your information to contact you.

1. Information Distribution
GSU GBA will never willfully disclose personally identifiable information to a third party unless:

• You have violated the Terms of Use or another applicable agreement
• We are required to do so by law
• You give us your permission

2. Opt-Out Features
It is important to GSU GBA that you control how we use the information you provided us.

• Tell us if you do not want to receive communication from GSU GBA, such as email newsletters announcing new features, events, or new content, by opting-out using the ‘my preferences’ section or by sending an e-mail to technology@gsugba.org with the subject line “opt-out”.
• You may decline to provide personal information to us. Please note that in some cases this will limit your interaction with GSU GBA.

3. Security
Your password is an important component of our security system. It is your responsibility to protect it. Do not share your password with anyone. If your password security was compromised for any reason, change it immediately.

GSU GBA's Privacy Statement only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. Any information you disclose to a third party, or other end-users, is subject to that party's Privacy Statement.
